Portrait of the artist/grant writer

I come to grant writing as an artist, a writer, and a cultural worker. Current roles include being engaged in academic research as  an MA student in Art Education (NSCAD University) and working as a research assistant for the Flaxmobile Research Project in Nova Scotia.

My home page features clients I have worked with, grants applied for, and money awarded by granting bodies, up to $400,000. Clients include emerging visual artists, dance performers, street dance artists, choreographers, singers, game developers, grass-roots organizations and public art galleries such as the Vancouver Street Dance Association and Lake Country Art Gallery, both in BC. I’ve also served on the Board of Outsiders & Others–a non-profit society focused on bringing non-traditional artists to the forefront.

I am a second-generation Italian Canadian currently living and practicing in Halifax on unceded Mi’kma’ki Territory in Nova Scotia.
